Vette servo, deep pan, trans cooler
i'm bout to install the LT's and ORY and electric cutout in a few weeks, and figured it would be a good idea to get the vette servo since yall said its so easy to install while exhaust is out and cheap also. Also I want to go ahead with a deeper pan, I already have the deep pan from factory, but want to add at least 2-4 more quarts.
1. Where to buy? I dont need a polished pan, just a good solid one, drain plug preferably....could i get the vette servo and deep pan at the same place?
2. i have the stock trans cooler behind the grille up front, is a better, bigger one worth it? Ill be running a cam and 3200 stall in the future, need all the help I can get for the tranny. what is a good one to get? where at? thanks guys!

IDK why u couldn't get pan & servo from same place. A TCI holds 2 QTs more. A MagHytec, while $$, has a plug, look bulletproof & hold more too I think, but not sure how much. I'd research some pans for options u want. FWIW, FLT can get a TCI pan.
Bigger cooler is gonna come down to this: Where u live, driving conditions, tow or not. It's a given you're goin to a stall, otherwise I'd have thrown that in too. I think anytime a stall comes into the equation, an aux. cooler of some kind is a good idea. Esp. if those other things in red apply.
TruCool 40K is what many on here run. Ebay or search. Next w/e, I'll run 1 too.

thank man, i went ahead and ordered the vette servo for $19 from a link i got from searching on here, i believe it was transmissioncenter.net.
they had some nice pans, but I really couldnt decide what i wanted to spend right now. living in southeastern texas, with no towing, with my driving habit being demonish, with a stall, should I go deep pan or aux cooler? I cant really do both at the same time....
i guess i can answer my own question here. Ill go ahead and get a deep pan, and install it with the servo and headers etc, then, when i do the cam and stall, i can do the aux cooler. there.
one more q before i go. the factory deep pan on the 4l60 is stepped up on one side for the exhaust....the deeper pans i was lookin at looked like they didnt have that. how to get around the exhaust? I'll be doin the ORY, does that y pipe run in a different spot than the stock?

Here in TX, I'd recommend the Tru-Cool 40K cooler (p/n 47391). My temps stay low enough with it that I don't see the need to justify an aluminum pan or even a deeper pan than the stock deep pan. If you want the OEM deep (stepped) pan with a drain plug already installed, you can get one for $44.99 with free shipping here.
