Sounds like the exact same issue I had. Took me three months and two converters to figure out it was the $.20 TCC o-ring on the input shaft.

ok 2 things I've notices aside from the stall speed being far, far too high for my taste.

1) the truck surges much worse than before. when i let off the gas and just coast it surges something fierce. When i come to a stop it surges and often stalls. When i switch from reverse to drive or drive to reverse it usually stalls.

2) there is an obvious clunk when i let off the throttle and when i put it in drive. my father in law said it sounds like the driveshaft. Could he have left out a spacer or something?

Truck is still for sale by the way.

You may be reaching the point where you've altered accessory drag enough that it needs some tweaking. On mine, the combination of the light weight convertor (like you just added) and the e-fans caused issues. Certainly your idle airflow tables are skewed... and you're seeing the amplified results now. You've changed how the truck idles and its demand for air. You must adjust.

Can you pm me some info on the vacuum bypass? If it delays boost a little longer I may get one too just to keep out of boost a bit longer. How does it work?

i'm hopefully going in for a tune on Thursday. Hopefully the guy can tune my 2bar sd setup. if not, i'm porked cause i don't wanna spend the $650 for HPtuners right now. I don't have any info on the bypass. I called KB and that's what they said i needed.

Just something you could check real quick would be battery terminals.I was having some stalling/surging issues on sat. turned out to be corroded&loose.Don't get your hopes up but is worth a look.
