Default PATC Phoenix 6L80e or....

I may have need for a transmission in the somewhat near term

Found Mike's reference on PATC and have read their site looking for what I need. Local builder has done a couple of the Pteradactyl kits as well. After calling PATC with the weight of my Escalade and power now/future they recommend the Phoenix.

Was planning on having the kit installed/tranny rebuilt locally with the Phoenix kit. Wondering if there are any other solutions or if there is any other money I should spend now at the same time while doing it.

2010 Escalade/Whipple....eventual short block. Probably max goal of 800hp, but I daily drive the truck and want it to last.

Not sure where you are located but I have heard Circle D transmissions in Houston Texas was doing them.

I have not heard good things about PATC transmissions or their customer service.

Found a local builder that has done a few PATC kits and whose work is praised by a couple local engine guys. Any reason I should pay more to mail order the whole transmission?
