I have had this code come on twice now.. I have a 2500 stall... so what I have read the TC should not be the problem.. when code comes on is when coming to a stop then truck doesnt wish to move, maybe is trying to move in 3rd gear??? I can manually put into 2nd gear and it goes fine. If I put into
1st gear it makes noise so I shift out immediately... Is B solenoid going out or is it more serious problem?? If kill the truck & go eat etc & start again all is normal except for check engine light stays on for a while..

When this happens are you driving the truck hard? I know your converter stall is not that high but I have seen this code get thrown in a 2400-2600 converter. In most cases with a stall converter the tests in the computer for a PO751 and PO757 should be removed. I do believe the condition you are seeing is a limp mode condition which in this case is 3rd gear starts. I believe some tuning will fix your issue. How long have you had the converter? Vince

Ya its in the tune. Disable the tests for that code. It fixed mine.

thanks for replies...

both times this has happened, I was driving easy.. 1/3 throttle at most before coming to yield or stop... the last time the truck had been sitting for half hour or so since a 5 to 60 mph run..... the first time the throttle had never been over 1/2 the entire day.

It doesn't matter how you were driving it, its just a code that likes to get thrown on some peoples trucks (including mine) whenever an aftermarket converter is installed. Just disable it asap so you're not stuck driving around in 3rd gear all day.

Scott, thanks... is disabling the "tests" something I could do with some tuning software or does computer need to sent off? I have been thinking about getting some program so I can at least view IATs, better A/F ratio readings, codes etc..

You can do this with EFILive for sure, and I'm sure it can also be turned off with HPTuners.
