nv3500 questions
#21
this could be key for my cheap set up....looking at prices if i bought all new items for the nv3500 i would spend the same if not more then buying a t56

after thinking about this for a few mins it only makes since that the ls1 flywheel would fit....you use the same starter when swaping to a t56 right....therefore the flywheel is the same diameter as the 4.8 flywheel. the only diffrence i would think is going to be the clutch disc surface area....
anyone know the diameter of a stock 4.8 disc and a stock ls1 disc?

where did you find that? i ask because when i called Summit & a couple other places, they told me an LS1 flywheel wouldn't work with the truck trans.
i ain't tryin to say either one of us is wrong, but i would like to know the answer.

these are not the stock flywheel but if you can use clutches from a truck or a car the only diffrence must be the disc contact area.....so if i get all ls1 parts and a 10 spline disc the same diameter of the ls1 disc it should work

i have a 2004 gmc sierra w/ a 4.8 mated to a nv 3500, thinkin about puttin in my t-56 into the sierra from a 1999 fire bird, which i swaped a 4l60 automatic in to. would the slave cylinder, bellhousin, and fly wheel bolt up to the 4.8 since the ls1 and the 4.8 r of the same bolt pattern? need advise soon because the t-56 is almost done gettin rebuilt. Thanks your info is greatly appricated.
