i wondering if everyone has ever blown it up that bad? i might have broken the record

it may have had a hairline crack that spread, who knows. Good choice that your going the 80e route. Much better trans.

Nope, not a record but it's up there. I think Atomic did the same or worse.

I know a guy that blew a 4L80E apart in the front at the bell housing.

UPDATE!!! SHIFT KIT IS IN (TRANGO 4L80E-HD2)

(1) I put the stock plate over the TG plate and some holes wont match perfect BUT when i put the TG plate on the valve body over the 7 ***** seems like it should work (do i need to modify does holes or leave em like this?

(2)Why does the TG plate comes with 3 plates together? is that the way i have to use it? all 3 plates?

(3) The side connector of the 4L80E is different then the 4L60E, i can change them right?

(4) where can i put the sensor for the trans temp? i see it doesnt have the same port as the 60E has

Just use the stock neutral safety switch off your truck. PCM reads trans temp so you can monitor it in hptuners.

I used the new triple plate in mine but I know some people do it differently.

ok about the neutral safety switch

i wont always have the lap top in there so i kinda would like to still use the gauge too if its possible

did u have to change anything else then drill AB and C? on the new TG plate?

I just drilled them like the instructions said.

Could also do like a aeroforce scangauge or something to monitor trans temp. Thats what i have in my truck.
