harness is installed when i get the pan to put it back on i see this:



should i put clean fluid in it and see what happens or stop here?

I hate to say this but that looks like part of a thrust washer in the back of the case or chunk of a bushing. I could be wrong but I would already have that trans on a bench if it were mine.

update! we took the 4l80e off and changed it at the yunkyard for another one, this time an 04 one, took the shift kit parts out of the other one and had them installed in this 04 4l80e, truck was ready Saturday around 3pm brought her home and washed it and got everything ready for the bracket race sunday (yesturday) and we brought 2nd place home, all and all im very happy with the 4l80e and my 4c 3600-3800 converter
