Noise from the front end
#1
Hey all, great site. I've been reading for a few years now, but just registered today.
I’d been noticing a squeaking noise coming from the front area of my truck. When I pressed on the brake pedal the noise would stop, so common sense told me that I needed to have them looked at. I took the truck in today and it turns out that the pads were shot and the rotors were beyond resurfacing, so I had the front pads and rotors replaced, but the noise is still there. Also, if I turn the steering wheel a bit to the right, the noise seems to subside.
Thoughts on what it might be? Someone mentioned to me that it might be the wheel bearings. It’s an ’02 Sierra 1500 2WD.
Thanks.
