Default New trans issue

Okay so I have a 92 c1500 350tbi, automatic, 700r4, I recently put in a new transmission and after installed I realized it was set up for a cable trans, truck is set up for electric with vs on side of trans. Also noticed engine light is now in, I'm assuming because of not having a speedometer. What the hell can I do, I've already gotten rid of the old trans

Only one thing you really can do. Buy the parts you need to fix the problem.

What would be the parts to fix it, is this a gear driven speed sensor? Or is it magnetic

Hmm, not exactly sure on those older 700r4's.

Only ever taken apart a newer 4L60e in my trans class back in auto tech.

92 should be gear driven.
