Default Need some opinions

a buddy of mine has a brand new auburn limited slip unit. he said he would sell it to me for 200 bucks,think he said he paid 400 for it. is auburn any good? just wanna know if its worth the money to buy it

They're pretty good. I knew a guy that had one behind a sick camaro and it held up pretty well and locked up fine. I think it is a clutch material type though, so it will wear over time.

The auburn is not a clutch type posi and is not rebuildable from what I understand. It uses some kind of friction cone or something. I ran the auburn pro in big block truck I had. First time you get it in the water box.....their junk. Good buy if you don't drag race, otherwise save your money for a better unit like the eaton or a trutrac.
