Alright so I was leaving mcdonalds after work and in letting off the clutch and staring to drive I heard a loud snap and the truck jolted now obviously I couldn't leave the truck at mcdonalds so as I'm driving home I notice it happens when I let out on the clutch again it feels like the motor is trying to separate from the tranny.....so can anyone help me out in this before I go to a tranny shop tommorrow?
EDIT: so i drove the truck around the block real quick just to be sure of the way everything felt and it's more like the gears are grinding when i'm letting out of the clutch from a dead stop & when i'm coasting in 2nd gear

dude that sucks...can you describe a little better what you feel when you let the clutch out? does it make any noises as far as grinding or poping noises? do you think its related to the clutch or more of a trans problem?

no it clicks while just coasting like it all started when i downshifted from 3rd to 2nd & i started noticing that the tranny was making some loud noise...i thought it was possibly clutch slipping?

lol yeah, that'll do it. I've gotten some big bangs from the rear end before, and it's dicey when I try to gas it next. I never know if it's gonna still be in one piece or not haha. Damn that G80..

lol so you've never known anyone with an open diff? lol nah but really i'm just happy because it's MUUUUUUCCCCHHH cheaper to replace a diff than a tranny gear or a new tranny...and now i finally have a reason to get a posi unit
