Need help: Horrible ride on my 03 Sierra. :-(

Barley do you think that the aftermarket springs are the issue or is it ultimately the fact that I'm doing a 3 inch drop?
I've definitely considered putting on the factory springs but I think I would prefer a 4 inch drop for the rear still, especially since I know a 2 inch drop would leave the rear end quite high when compared to the front end. If I used the factory springs I could use hangers and shackles to get a 4 inch rear drop right? Still I'm wondering if this would just create the same problem again since I'm going to a 4 inch drop again.

let me start by saying I am no suspension pro by any means i'm just offering you my $0.02 although i am on my second truck with a 2/4 drop. To answer your question i do think some of your problem is with your springs nothing seems to ride as sommth as a factory spring. You can achieve a 4 inch drop with factory springs using 2 inch hangers and 2 inch shackles. The only thing is in your case and mine (I got Cal Tracs too! not installed yet
) we will have to get hangers directly from calvert racing or mod a set to work. I think you shouls still get the c notch too.

Oops yeah I always get the two confused. Ok guess I'll be ordering a set of hangers from Calvert. Thanks for the help all! Maybe I'll try the factory springs and 2" hanger/shackles without a C Notch to see if that fixes the bouncing issue. Of course if that doesn't work then I'll do the C notch.

Don't even bother, unless you're planning to raise the truck back up, you'll need the notch.

You can, but no matter how you cut it, a 4" drop is a 4" drop. Your problem is that the axle is too close to the frame now, and you're bottoming out. Also, your shock angles are bad.
It doesn't matter which parts you use to get the 4" drop, either setup will give you the same problem. Get a notch, and shock extenders, and you're all set.

Ok that makes sense. So do you think my Edelbrock IAS shocks will work ok with the extenders and C notch? The shocks are for a lowered truck so I want to be sure they work.
