Need a flywheel asap!
#1
Hey guys I'm in need of a flywheel for a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 4.8L with a MANUAL transmission. I have called every parts place from Lima, OH to Ft. Wayne, IN. I was wondering if anyone had one for sale, need by tomorrow. Any help would be great

I bought one and it doesn't work. It bolts right up and fits but it's too thin compared to the original so I'm back to square one, but I have heard that there are spacers and longer bolts available I'm just not sure where to find those.

With the NFW1050 it's around 1/4" thinner than the original 4.8 Liter. So to compensate for this I've read that a spacer will push it out to take up that space, only thing with that is then I'm not sure if the original flywheel bolts will work, and where can I find the spacer part # as well as flywheel bolt #'s

the 4.8 and 5.3 I thought would be close enough but I guess they aren't, haha, oh well lessons learned, it's a stock 4.8 to the NV3500 I believe and the dealership was unsure if they could get one.

Just for clarification, the NFW1050 Flywheel does NOT fit to the 4.8 to the NV3500 on a 99 GMC sierra. The ring gear sits an inch too far away from the starter. If you plan to do this you need the spacer and longer flywheel bolts. The problem with the flywheel is that GM and aftermarket companies have not made the flywheel for awhile. Thanks for all the help
