What's the benefit of going to manual steering? Years ago before most cars came with power steering, I drove cars with manual steering and they we're a pain in the b***, and holy crap, some of the steering wheel diameters were as big as the tires on the car.

i assume for the same reason we ditch the clutch fan, and use electric water pumps

One less pulley to spin, plus adding skinnies, Hardly ever drive it anyways and i really like the way it cleans up the passenger side of the motor not having all of that garbage in the way
