I've been wanting to do the same thing. I called Flaming River once and the guy on the phone wasn't very helpfull for some reason. He basically said that if I had one custom made it wouldn't be affordable. He really didn't answer any of my questions. Flaco has a manual rack on his truck now and I've asked him for info on it but all I learned was that it was "custom". I've notice alot of the F-body guys just loop theirs but it seems like it would be awfully hard to steer in a truck.

If you find anything out let me know. Also, if you try to loop yours, post up the results. Congrats, you've nominated yourself to be the gunnie pig.

I feel your pain...literally. I have been driving around with no powersteering for about 2 months, you get used to it I guess. I removed my powersteering pump, lines and just left it open on the rack. A local guy here had a flaming river rack put it and a custom crossbar to mount it up. Doesn't look that difficult.

Let me know if you get anymore info.

It's much harder on a vehicle that is supposed to have power steering and lost it as opposed to factory manual steering, as the ratios are different. It's not so bad once you're moving, but low speed maneuvers are really tough!

I friend of mine took his truck to a chassis guy and ordered my friend a manual rack from a fox body. He never took his truck again. Does anyone have the measurement between the two mounting bolts on the fox body? Maybe its not that hard to do, I've been wanting to do it.
