Lowering Question
#11
My truck must have sat up higher than most 1/2 ton crewcabs and I thought it did. Its an early 07. Mine measures from center of hub to fender 19 front, 20 rear. These measurements are after I installed the drop spindles on front and 3" rear leafs in rear with 2" drop shackles to make rear a total of 5" drop

The truck I measured last night was an 02 ext cab, so its springs probably have settled more than yours have. As far as the rear goes, did you measure your truck before you did the drop? You'd be surprised how much these trucks vary from one to the other, as well as the famous chevy lean, i.e. left/right is as far as half an inch or more different. My truck has a drop shackle on the pass. side to fix this. I'm planning on trimming a coil up front to fix this in the future.

My truck is an early 07 crewcab, which I just realized has torsion bars. I did drop spindles on front from what i hear you can loosen torsion bars up and get another inch drop. I guess in the rear I can remove the factory block and get another out of rear also. Any help would be apprciated. Or someone with same setup that has done this

You can uncrank the torsion bars about an inch without any problems. Any more, then you'd want to get keys. The keys are cheap, so it shouldn't be a big deal. If you have a block in the back that would make it easy for you to drop it another inch or two. If you decide to go lower, you might want to notch the frame if it starts to get close.
