Lost all forward and reverse gears-oil pump???

Do yourself a favor and pull the pan before you pull the trans. Sounds like a pump failure... but you never know.

Also ready pulled the pan, fluid was clean and there was nothing else in the pan so thats good. I've got everything unbolted and unhooked. Just about to slide the trans out.

The pump is at the front of the trans correct? mates next to the torque converter?

Check to see if oil level on stick goes down when you start engine. If it doesnt, it's probably the pump stator. Had same thing happen to me when I changed converters. Make sure you have proper spacing between converter ad flex plate. Should be about .250. Give or take about an 8th inch. Anymore than that it not engage pump properly and thus,breaks pump.
