#1
I am considering putting the 14 bolt 9.5" in my silverado I have tried locating it in the salvage yard they need the code, I would like to locate one complete with 3:43 or 3:73 gears and disk brakes because my drums suck on my 10 bolt, if you guys could help me locate one I would apreciate it!

I have one in the for sale in the classified section. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=445675
You didn't list were you are located.
They were very few of these with the disc brake option I am not sure what they came in but I believe it was a 1 or 2 year only thing.
Far as I know they were only avalible with 3:73 or 4:11
AXLE code Option was AXN for the Hybrid axle 14 bolt 9.5 with 6 Lug
Gear Ratio Code
GT4 =3.73
GT5 =4.11

As per YOUR PM Earlier...
It clearly says I am Located in Southern California In my Sig... You on the other Hand still have not listed a location.
How would I know what size your 10 Bolt Tubes are??? Did you measure them???
Sure I could ship it If you pay for it...
What does a 2wd SS have to do with any thing???
Now If you would like some real help I strongly suggest you do some real research or ask a little nicer!
First off disc brakes on a 14 bolt 9.5 from the factory are very rare! They were avalible at some point on certin models but I believe it was only in 04 on the Crew Cab models as and option not standard equipment. As far as the SS trucks go they did not get the 14 bolt 9.5 until 06 prior was some sort of 12 bolt from what I understand. Even the early denalis didnt get them. I know because i called the dealer with every vin number I could find on every denalli that was for sale at the time. they told me every one I called about was equiped with a 10 bolt of some sort.
Now the SS, Denali, and the VHO all share the same basic running gear.
The VHO was basically an SS or Denali with out the exterior styling package.
The 14 bolt 9.5 also came in Vans and SUV's
3.73 and 4.10 was the only gear ratio availible for the Trucks
Vans also had avalible 3.42 But the housings are diffirent so it wont bolt in to a truck.
Each chassis line uses uses different rear suspension so the housing brackets will be diffrent for each application. 99-07 NBS classic dont want to get into 88-98 or 07 NNBS - up applications. althoug I believe a 14 bolt 9.5 out of a NNBS has disc in the rear and might be a direct bolt in but since there still considered newer and there's not a whole lot of used parts on the market yet will have to wait and see.
Trucks used leaf springs.
Vans had a trailing arm or life spring or something like that with coil springs.
SUVs used a 5 bar link set up also with a coil spring I believe.
As I stated before, The one I have for sale is from an 06 VHO truck with 3.73 gears. Should also have a G80 in it.
G80's in the 14 bolt 9.5 are way stronger and rairley fail Unlike the 10 bolt's version of the G80 that gernade on a regular basis. The 14 bolt 10.5 have a diffrent type of G80 and they are also prone to faliure. Each rear end's center section is unique an none of the parts interchange. Some of the brake parts will interchange between the 10 bolt and the 14 bolt 9.5. quite comon to use the 10 bolt 6 lug disc conversion on the 14 bolt 9.5

Dude don't be so jumpy I am just asking details about the rear end. I am getting ready to embark on a turbo tuck build, trying to do some PM so not to build a ticking time bomb! Further more I am stationed in GA. so you might be able to give me a shipping quote I would appreciate it and I measured my budy's trail blazer ss 14 bolt and the tubes are 3" just like my 10 bolt.
