Default Locating Tranny Temp Sensor

A few days later after installing my FLT Level 5 tranny my tranny temp gauge stays on 100 degrees. It does not move up regardless how long I drive it. Is the temp sensor on the casing or inside the tranny? I looked it up on my Helms manual but it does not show it for the 4L65E. Can anybody help please?
