just installed shift kit!!!!

Default just installed shift kit!!!!

i just got done installing the trans go **** kit and vacum moddulator and for a spin. i set the firmness at about 3 in a scale from 1-10. it shifts alot better and quick but sometimes will down shift to 3rd out of no where and and full stops sometimes is stays in 2nd. n e ideas? and what do i look for in change stock vs. shift kit , vaccum mod??

Was your truck doing this before the install? Any codes? It sounds like you might have a electrical connection issue.

If you are not getting any SES lights/codes you should probably go back over your install. You might have a sticky valve or a gasket that is blocking a hole. Also make sure that you did not cut the 1-2 accumulator seal. This could be your second gear start problem. You can double check all of you electrical connections but without any codes I doubt that this is the problem. Go over what you did you should probably find it.Vince.

ok vince i picked up a few codes p1441 (evap) p1415 (air system bank 1) the truck has an sts turbo and also now my boost vaccum gauge gives me 15-17 vac after throttle when it use to read 20-22 does that vaccum mod have n e thing to do with it? i also got a fault code p0748 (pc electric soliniod)????? i need some help???

I'm sorry just thought of something. Do you have a vacuum bypass kit for the modulator? If you do not you need to call us. Hopefully you haven't done any damage to the trans. I did not know that you had a turbo. Who did you get the vac-mod kit from. They should have asked this question when you purchased it. How much have you driven your truck since the install? Vince

yea vince it has a bypass valve in it and the pin is facing up im not to familier with trannys but as soon asthis ones gives up u need to help me with ur 80e tranny
