Default installed level 5 flt and vig. found trans line leak

well i just had my flt level 5 with 3000vig stall put in the truck last week and when we started it up we noticed a small drip coming from one of my trans cooler lines. my stock trans went on me about 3 months ago during a 12 hour road trip ( should be a 4 hour trip but road conditions and accidents delayed me ) and most of the trans fluid leaked out leading to overheating and slipping etc. to my surprise there was no warning light about the low fluid and i have no trans temp guage. i found this weird for having a towing package. i went to get the new line from the dealer and its on backorder all over canada. so the trucks still down for a few more weeks. awsome. one problem after another. cant wait to get this fixed and actually drive again.

i put a hose clamp on it but the leak continues. im not gonna try and rig anything myself as i would just be worried most of the time that it wont due. ill wait for the line to come. its leaking right at the front of the truck where it bends coming down from the cooler and goes back to the trans. its leaking about a half litre every 20 minutes of running.

Why not just switch over to AN fittings and hose? You are using the stock cooler with that stall?

how long is the line? if its not too bad, you can buy the pipe and a bender, both arent too much, and a flare tool. Along with a copper cutter, plumbers tool, you can make those things. Also maybe braided line?

I had a trans line leak at one point in time. Used something similar to a swedgelok union. Auto parts stores sell 'em. Cheap and easy to install. I cut a small section of the hard line out with a tube cutter, and screwed in this compression sleeve to the union, and no more leaks.

Check out this post. Not sure if this is your exact issue, but just in case...

If you've got HPtuners, you can set your dummy light to come on when the trans gets hot. And choose the temp.
Or ask your tuner do set this up for you.
Good luck with the new trans.
