if u have a spacer in between the bump stop take it out and screw bump stop right into frame. also i had cut my entire bump stop off except one rubber part.
either way i have a c notch now an its great not worrying about that anymore lol

I have hangrs and shackles. I removed the overload, along with all the small spacers between the leads. My bump stop was trimmed down to last ring. I have a little bit of clerance, but a c notch would help

Im with mangled03gmc...Just from experiance when you get desperate **** starts breaking or in your case things start tearing up...be patient do it right is what I think. If your going to be hauling loads in the back you can still get helper bags to go along with your drop.

yeah, definitely need a notch. How much drop are you aiming for?
Also not sure how performance oriented you're trying to make the truck (I see you mention weight transfer) but removing leafs is just asking for axle wrap!
