Default Hydroboost brake parts

What all do I need to get from a vehicle with hydroboost brakes, to swap into my truck? PS pump/lines, Brake booster, master cylinder, do I need the brake pedal assy?, anything else?

You don't really need the pump. You can Tee into the existing return line. If you want it to look 100% stock, get the pump.

You do need the brake pedal. There has been conflicting reports about the master cylinder.... I would get it just to be safe. When I did mine, I needed the master cylinder.

Thanks. I plan on just grabbing it all, that way I don't run into an issue and have my dd down for a day or two, because I didn't grab something I needed. I found a totaled 06 6.0L escalade, and everything looks new, and is clean under the hood.

you DO need the pedal assembly. main thing to get are:
lines
booster w/ master cylinder
pedal

everything else can be reused.

Why the need for the master cylinder? The stock master cylinder for vacuum boost has the exact same bolt pattern and the piston sits the same depth back into the booster from what I can see. Looks like it ought to work.

That's a great write-up. He did a good one on a 14 bolt swap that I plan on using soon, also.

Thanks
