Default Hub Bearing the same?

My front left hub bearing has gone out , so I called the local parts shack and they ask me for 16 inch wheels, or 17 inch wheels, even when i told them it was a 2005. So I say 17s, and BAM 200 bucks. What the hell is the difference? Ive grinded my calipers to run 16s...lol, My dads 01 was like 80 bucks IIRC, would that one work on my truck? I see them listed as 99-07 all the time, and that threw me for a loop.

also, when i put new tires on it, i noticed a howl at 15-30mph, then it went away, i figured it was the tires, some are louder than others, so recently i have gottten a vibration that will go away when i turn the wheel a little at highway speeds. Jacked the truck up and did the normal 12 and 6 position shake, no movement, but when id spin the wheel forward, then backward, there is some slack and a noise coming from it, so im guessing hub bearing
