Got a better video. Even cleaned the instrument cluster some. Had a ton of dust on it haha.
Stock intake, stock exhaust, stock 80e converter (looks like it hits 2500ish) and everything else. Even running that good race gas, 87oct i think they call it.

I havent ever topped 3rd out. But ive been 4700rpms in OD with the converter locked which was 158. Never again.

 

I wana post mine lol.. 0-80 pull on the 5.3 with 4.10s.. this was a while back I'm sure it's better now lol

Thanks for posting the videos guys. Definatly gives me an idea how the setups respond with the 4.10s.. Smokin that 155mph is nuts! 3rd at 6k would do it!

 

I'm gonna assume your logic behind the gears is from watching m3srt. I've done my share of roll racing and imo the gears usually do hurt you. Although, it is usually from a negotiation standpoint. People always wanna go from 35 or 40, so you just barely hit 1st then quickly shift to second. Which causes them to get the hit on you.

After my gears my truck felt all around faster. I'm one of the biggest advocates of gears you will ever meet. I put gears in my truck before window tint. I say go for the gears. It's a very worthwhile mod from a performance standpoint. If you start losing races just tell people to go from a 25 or from a dead stop
