I had violent 1.8 launches at higher boost, that's why I dialed it back to 15

Friday night was horrible here, I was like 4th or 5th in the staging lanes when the track went hot at 7pm, stayed til 11 and only got 3 runs in. The lanes were probably 20 cars deep, and they run 1 for motorcycles, 4 for street cars, and 1 for drag cars. They are horrible with picking the lanes too, they'll pull 2 sets of cars from one lane then clear out the next one. I saw a couple people almost do a hot lap while I sat in line for an hour. Also, I think they shut the track down for inspection/cleanup 5 or 6 times.

Default Strapping NNBS?

My 2013 has a strut front end. How do I still use these straps?

Ancient thread I know... But has anyone tried limit straps on the gmt900 front end? I'm needing something, I'm pushing 600 awd power and the front lifts like a **** with my 3" suspension lift. I'm thinking these would help but just wanted to ask you guys before I started to buy parts that are not needed...

Bring this up yet again... maybe someone has tried making a GMT-900 strapping system somewhere?

I also wonder if I could do it by limiting the sway bar link's movement or rotation.

Also as a side note, I wonder what kind of effect the sway bar has on wheelhop and high power launches in 4WD/AWD, wonder if it would work any better just getting rid of it all together?

www.atomicfp.com makes a coilover kit for all 99-18 trucks, including the 07-13s. No straps needed or desired, just turn up the rebound adjustment on the shock to slow it down.

With my 05 LLY I never had any luck with double adjustable shocks. With the rebound all the way up on the front shocks they never seemed to make any difference in keeping it under control on a boosted launch, it would still just hit that certain boost level that would cause bucking and side to side bucking as well.

I guess maybe I just didn't have good enough shocks or had something else wrong as it seems like it should work, although I am not sure if it can load it long enough to eventually allow enough upward travel, I would doubt that though.

Coilovers I am sure would be very nice, I am just worried to invest all the money into them but then end up with no results. I wish there was just something easy I could do to limit the travel just to test and see what effect it has, maybe like taking the stock strut off and welding like a stopper or something on it. Although I am sure if you aren't careful, you could create a stiff spring back in the system doing that and wouldn't have any additional damping to stop it. I guess with straps you kind of add an additional spring in the system with not much damping in the synthetic woven strap, but then it should be more like a mechanical diode.
