I just need to go measure tomorrow I think. If I have 2 or more inches of thread left on the bolt then I'll get 10s. What would you guys consider to be the minimum amount of downward travel necessary to not affect ride quality?

You need slack in the strap to not effect ride quality.

I ran these 10" double-wrapped ones on mine. I think I remember street driving them as loose as they would go(top of the threads on the stud), and cranking them down until it started pulling down the front end of the truck around 1/2" to preload the suspension. I think it almost used up all the threads on the studs, so around 2" of adjustment.

Hope that helps.

The straps will stretch a little bit as well. My ride was pretty terrible with the straps because of how tight I had to make them, then I switched to coilovers and never had to mess with straps and it rides 1000x better.

Went out and measured, I think either 9" or 10" would work ok. There's enough thread left on the bolts to take another 2.5" of length out before the spring would bind up, and I only had to back off by about 1/2" before all the tension was gone, but then I didn't have enough room left for the second nut. Probably just get 10's like you guys have. I'm not sure what your static height is but I'm assuming it's similar to mine.

I'm guessing the same Chris. If your truck didn't have the small body lift on it, would probably sit the same as my truck did.

Tried installing 10's this morning and they are too long. I was able to tighten the nut all the way until the spring bound up, there was no slack in the strap but it had not started to pull the truck down yet either. I think 9s will do the trick, hopefully I can exchange these ones.

Sorry to jack, but I've seen a few comments on this thread about coilovers. I just did the same with mounts from Atomic. I haven't tried them at a track yet but others have even commented on how flat my truck takes off. The front just won't come up and it rides smooth.

I'd love to do coilovers, just don't have the money for them. This is like the poor man's alternative, lol.
