Hesitation in driveline when taking off
#1
Ok, this has happened twice so far...
05 gmc sierra z71
When i took off from a stop light, i released the brake and gave it gas... The engine reved up but the truck didnt move... Then it caught very harsh and took off... By harsh i mean instant clunk
I checked the tranny fluid, i was almost a quart low... So i filled it, and this hasnt happened again so far...
Any thoughts? Drive shaft seems tight, ujoints look good..

Being low on fluid could be an issue for sure. I do not think that your issue is with the drive shaft or a differential. It sounds trans related. Other issues could be a cracked accumulator piston, worn bushing in the stator tube causing a leak, plugged filter causing low pressure, or a failing input sprag. Keep an eye on it and see what happens now that you added some fluid to it. Vince
