Default Help bullet-proof 4l60e

I know there is a tranny section, but most of you guys are here. I was thinking a shift kit, and some vette servos, but there's a lot more than just that. BTW, Trasmission Parts USA has the Trango shift kit for $38 right now. Is that the right one? Thanks in advance.

Thats not the right kit. You want the TransGo HD2 kit and I think it runs about $80. That aside, no 4L60 is bulletproof or anywhere near it. But a few good things to add to a 60 are the TG kit of course, TG HD valve body spacer plate, both billet servos and NO washers in the 1-2 accumulator, new servo check valve, new METAL GM accumulator piston and last but not least a good cooler. That should help things alot.

TransPartsUSA part numbers:

TG HD2 35935-HD2
TG VB spacer plate 35098B
Billet OD servo A74902H
Billet Int servo A74905H
Servo check valve 77701-076
GM accum piston 24204496 (GM part)
B&M Supercooler 70264

I bought the cheaper kit. I think the only difference is that the HD2 kit comes with parts that you have to completely pull the tranny to install. I will have to check that though.

Negative. It can be installed with the tranny in the truck. The TransGo HD2 is a valve body kit nothing more, nothing less. It is comprised of ALOT of parts that need and should be upgraded in the valve body. The TG kit is by far the most superior kit for the 4L60 and 65.
