Default Getting a Converter Soon!

I'm gonna send off a stock converter to have it restalled by a sponser within the next couple of weeks. It's gonna be restalled to 2400rpms.

How much should my 60ft times(2.35-2.4) drop with a 2400 converter? I'm thinking with good track conditions, maybe a 2.1-2.3? Anything below a 2.3 would be nice! The cam really wakes up right at 2400-2500rpms. I can't wait!

I would get some stickies first. you are already spinning. The stall will hurt yer 60 if you are spinning now. .02 deposited.

That's true. On the street I barely chirp the tires, it's really only at the track that I have traction problems. I can't wait to see what it'll do at stop lights!

If I was to get some radials or slicks, how much would it drop my 60ft?

I wouldn't recommend a restall, heard some bad things and my 60's in the camaro went from 2.3s to 1.6s with a yank 3500. Traction will be an issue for sure just make sure you get the right stall for your application. I like a real loose converter so when I put one in the silvy its gonna be at least a 3200.

I like it tight that's why I want a restalled converter. There used to be a member on here that had a restalled 2400 stall(Yank). He said the only difference was when he got on it from a stop, it flashed to 2400 and everything else was exactly the same. A 2200-2500 stall would be perfect for my truck and future LS1 swap, as far as daily driver.

I will, trust me. That's usually one of the first things I do when I do a mod to my truck, I'm in front of the computer letting people on here know my results! I'll be sending it off hopefully friday. The cost is super cheap, I don't know if they want me to post the price, but if interested pm me and I'll tell you the price.

Just curious, why not use a TrailBlazer converter instead of restalling your factory converter? Also, on a restall on the factory converter does the Stall Torque Ratio increase or does it remain the same? My next mod will be a converter, I will be going with the TT2600

What is the difference between the Trailblazer converter and the stock converter in a 6.0L Escalade? Do you have a part number?

Thanks,

Rick
