Help ASAP!

Here's the deal. I just bought a 2000 4L80E remanufactured transmission from Pheonix Remanufactured transmissions. This was supposed to be a new body style tranny, but they gave me an old one. I dont know when GM changed the bell housing bolt pattern from 6 to 7, but mine is a six. Anyway I read on here that from 97-current 4L80E's should work, so regardless of whether this is a new body style or old it should work. The problem is the transfer case connector piece is way bigger than the mating face of the 4L80E. Here's some pics:

I hope it will still work. Thanks for the help.

No, their straight out of Pheonix. Im pretty sure after researching for about an hour, I need a different adapter plate according to thunder550. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...ight=4wd+4L80E

You will need to get a different extension housing adapter. Also the splines of the 4l80e are different from the ones you have on your 4l60e. Two solutions. Change output shaft to custom one or change the input gear in transfer case or transfer case to make things work. I however would think that they would have told you this before selling you a trans. BTW what is with the rust on the back of a new rebuilt transmission? You should give Greg a call. I would not go any further until getting some answers here.
Cliff notes:
Wrong trans
Rusty looking trans with a coat of paint looks like bone yard unit
Wrong output or lack of info provided from the seller to buyer
I would be looking for answers or refund period

Ya thanks for the help, Ill give them a call monday. I already changed the input shaft on the t-case, i just need the adapter at this point. It probably was sitting for some time, but right now its not worth all the time and hassle to send it back. They are by far the worst company I have dealt with. The whole process took them 2 months to get the transaction completed, the tranny built, and it sent to me. After the first 3 weeks of hearing nothing, i contacted them and they lost my info. Then they sent me the invoice and told me not to contact them for any updates, they will contact me. lol. I played that game againg for a week and it got me no where. So basically I don't want to mickey mouse around with them anymore and make what I have work and be done with it. Sorry for ranting on.
