Default 1/2 ton T case to 4l80E?

What is needed to mate up a 1/2 ton T case up to a 4l80e on my 2003. I know the input hub on the t case needs to be changed. But what adapter, and trans shaft do you use? And will the 4l80e witing harness plug in to the 1/2 ton truck? The 80 E is out of a 2002. Thanks, J

Check www.speed-eng.com for a complete list of 4L80E conversion parts. Many people on the forum here (including myself) have done the 80E swap.

If you swap input gears on the t-case you can use the standard output shaft on the 80E. There's an adapter that goes between the 80E and the t-case to allow them to physically bolt together. If your 80E doesn't come with one, you should be able to find one at a hard parts store. I had to go to a Tru-Best Hard Parts here in Phoenix to find one.

The 1/2 ton harness will plug in, but you need to get a harness for a second VSS and there's an adapter for the big round green plug since the pinouts are different.
