Default Help? 8.5 and 8.6 Rearends?

I daily drive a '00 Silverado, I took out the spider gears(sweet sound :/) and bought some for a 8.5 10 bolt not thinking, and I have a 8.6 I guess? Now whats the difference between the 8.5 and 8.6 10 bolts. The ring gears are swappable though aren't they? I know there's a difference in the carrier bearing size, or atleast I thought haha. So anyways will the spiders I got work in my carrier, or did I frick up??

89 up changed from 28 to 30 spline on the 8.5.
as far as I know the only difference from those is the ring ang pinion size and they do interchange. in 99 they upgrade the diffential bearings.
as far as I know, the spider and axle gear should interchange,as long you use you don't try to mix open case gears(spiders and axles) from a G80(factory limited slip) gears.
