#1
Replaced the struts and rear shocks on my 08 Tahoe yesterday, and now i have a ABS light and Traction Control light staying on? I unhooked battery hoping to reset everything but didn't work. Any insight or help with this would be apppreciated.

The traction light came on and now says service it after my brother changed out a shock on my wifes 08 Tahoe. I'm out of the country so I havent been able to look at it yet but am hoping its a fuse or just needs the codes cleared out. My wife is taking it in to be looked at so I will let you know what we find out.

If the shocks in the rear weren't the airbag type shock, you don't have autoride. If you replaced the airbags with standard shock, that may be your problem. Other wise check and make sure you didn't accidentally dislodge one of the sensors/plugs. I found this on another forum I frequent regarding the exact same issue you are having on a 07 after changing shocks...
On the framerail directly above the top bolt of each shock is a connection for the stabilitrac system. Well, somehow the drivers side connection got disconnected while unbolting the top of the drivers side shock. I found the issue, reconnected it and we are back in business

Problem fixed!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again BigKid. My wife was in town, ran over and crawled under and found plug on rear drivers side unplugged. Fixed Traction control and ABS light. Note: Only the driver side has the plug in the way...couldn't feel the passenger side any where.
