Once you put the convertor in there it will soften up your shifts some.

im still kind of confused as to why a shift kit and all the other stuff is necessary. im going to buy it along with an accumulator piston, and 4th gear servo, i just like to know about what im buying. lol im always confused when it comes to transmissions like most people on here im sure are. so hopefully this stuff will make me happy along with a retune.

The shift kit as well as the servos give you a faster shift and that helps make the tranny last longer. They are also better for a performance setup. You won't get as much lag between the gear changes and this helps stop clutch burnup.
It's good to have.
Do you have a tranny cooler yet?Go at least 24,000BUI. If you don't.

ima get a hayden 30,000. it doesnt shift too bad now with what i got but the lag between shifts really sucks ***. so what is the typical drop in rpms between shifts in a setup like i will have? also is a deeper pan recommended? if so will one fit with the pacesetter y pipe?

With a Yank TT3000 your shift extension should be right around 4000rpms for each gear change. You don't have to get a deep pan but it will keep things cooler easier/better.No idea if it will fit i'm still rocking stock pan.Alot of guys do rock the stocker on that just get coolers. That 30,000 will be more than enough.
That shift kit will get rid of that lag for ya between shifts.

yeh i figured the pan would be a lil overkill. i do think the 30,000 is a good idea though. i drive it pretty hard all the time in stop and go city driving, around 350 miles every 5-6 days. thanks for all the info. i know i was kinda drilling you with questions but i hate to post new threads. il keep this one goin if i get all that stuff put in this week.
