Default harsh shifts

I have a rebuilt trans with a few upgrades like beast sunshell, vette servo and a few others. I got a 02 pcm upgrade and fan harness from nelson a few weeks ago and im not sure if its just a coincidence or not but the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are very harsh. Like if its raining and im barely on the gas it will bark 2nd. It will also bark 2nd at wot on dry pavement. Is this a tuning problem or trans problem? It drives fine except for it shifting hard as hell. I would think its a tuning problem but I figured id get some more opinions. Iv got 33's with 18" rims and I know this cant be good at all for the trans. Its too bad its not the hp thats causing this lol.

The servos will make it shift harder as will the shift kit. If your tuner didn't lower your line pressure then it will shift real harsh. Also if your speedo isn't calibrated right it will make the trans shift wierd...may be time to invest in some tuning/logging software.

ask Allen specifically, I may be wrong, but when I went from 2000 to 2002 my shifts got harder and looking at the pressure tables, the 2002 seems a touch higher(5.3 w/60e). I'd cough this one up to a tuning tweak. No biggy but get on it soon.

I'd get the tuning problem fixxed as soon as possible. However it may just be your getting used to the way it's shifting.

well hopefully like i posted earlier tonight il get the yank installed this week along with a few other goodies and il need a retune anyway. With a verter like this the shifts are very smooth right? i think you might be right about me getting used to it also, or maybe im just barely letting off the gas so it will shift fine and i done it enough to where i dont realize it.
