Fellas when you clamped your overload in front of tire for wheel hop did it raise or lower your truck or affect pinion angle much? I searched and never got clear answer.

it will lower it some. i don't think the pinion angle changes unless your relocating brackets or shims.

Awesome bluecajun... That is what I was hoping for... did you ever relocate your shocks?

I didn't notice a drastic change in ride height or pinion angle. I did notice improved traction and no wheel hop. This was with a 6" flip kit and relocated QA1's.

If you've removed the overload leaf, you'll get different results than you will if you still have the overload leaf.

If the OL is gone, clamping the springs will not change ride height or pinion angle very much at all.

But if you clamp the spring pack to the OL leaf, the pinion angle will change, and the ride height will lower in the rear, by about an inch.

I think I got at least 1/2" drop when I clamped mine. Took em off before I did the flip/notch. Can't speak on pinion angle or wheelhop as I took them off before I changed gears. I had 3.23s so no problems with traction until I changed over to 4.10s
