GT8 ring gear size
Does the GT8 rear axle code mean it is one specific ring gear size or could it be either 9.5", 10.5" or 11.5 inch? I have a 2018 GMC
2500HD (gas) and want to know the ring gear size...

You have the AAM 10.5" in your truck being a gas pot 3/4 ton which is the same old 10.5" since 1973! GT8 ( or GT5) just designates axle ratio and it means like every other normally ordered ( non fleet) HD from 2015 and up you have 4.10 gears. Yes I know this for a fact being I have 4.56 gears and a Detroit locker in my 2017 2500HD's 14 bolt and it was kind of a big deal to know what axle I had to order the parts lol.
If the truck was a diesel 2500 or a gas or diesel 3500 then it would have the 11.5" AAM.
