Got my X-mas Gift - $ for a Lowering Kit. Need Advice & wisdom.

Hey Guys,
I got the $ for a lowering kit today and I'm trying to decide on what brand kit and how I want to lower it.
It's the truck in the sig. 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd rcsb truck. I am looking to lower it either 2/4 or 3/4 for a little rake which I like.
Belltech has their kit part # 664SP which is their pro-coil spring setup which allows either 2" or 3" drop up from with shackles and hangers for a 4" drop out back....http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bel-664sp
Or DJM offers a complete 3/4 kit that includes lowering control arms for a 3" drop up front along with shackles and hangers for the 4" drop in the back...........DJM2599-3/4 | DJM Suspension
Question is which would provide years of reliable service with as close to a factory ride as possible. I'm not looking to corner carve with the truck on a track just occasionally take it through the twists. It mainly sees straight line duty 1/4 mile at a time and highway miles. I've always hear about LCA's scrapping and bottoming out along with issues with DJM's fab work such as the welds on the control arms. I'm leaning towards the DJM kit because I get to keep the factory springs for the ride.
Looking for any advice whether pro's or con's.
Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!

Then that runs into the area where people say it cuts down on turning radius, you have to have a 17"+ wheel to work, and you have to hack the bottom of the lower balljoint stud off just to make them fit. In that case it would be between Belltech or McGaughy's.

It may be misinformation or user error but, from a few people with DJM's Lower control arms they have reported the spring pocket scrapping in certain aspects of driving.
I really do like the idea of the DJM kit. Any other aspects of the kit you like?

, i haven't noticed any reduction in turning radius.
