Well, I got everything for the 4L80e rebuild today.
(I think, lol) The rebuild kit is custom put together with parts from several MFG by Andre At Edge. Also got one of his custom built for me 9 1/2" "Street Edge" converters. I believe he said its a 3000 stall, didn't get any paperwork with anything, so I emailed him about that. I want to know for sure what he sent me. Anyone see anything I'm Missing?

Difference between the stock 4L80e converter and the Edge

I also picked up an extra paper and rubber kit I found on eBay for cheep (30 bucks). I live in BFE and if I screw up a seal during the rebuild I didn't want to be stuck for 3-4 day cuz I had to order one.

Nice Kyle...
You goin to get some pics along the way? Ive always wanted to see whats in the inside of a 80E.
I put the HD-2 in mine by myself, so thats easy.
Just be careful on what you drill the holes in the seperator plate out to.
Im sure with that small Stall its goin to take some of the "Hit" but i got to redo my 3-4 shift, its kinda harsh with alot of throttle.

I plan on taking lots of pics along the way, so I might do a write up also. There is already a couple good one's on here that I plan on using to help.
I don't want harsh shifting, so I'm going to be doing the shift kit as conservative as possible.
The part about this I like the best is I got ALL of this for less then the cost of a new PI or Yank 4L80 converter
Was planing on just getting a remaned high stall stock gas converter till I cam across this deal.

So you're all ready with parts and everything to get this done. That means we should see a 4L80E ready to go in your truck by......May? June? I think it's too cold to work on now, but you don't want to wait till it's too hot either.

What year is the trans? I do not see a sprag, low roller, OD roller, rear band, solenoids, harness or pistons. Also the shift kit you received does not come with the valve body spacer plate. You might want to get one of those as well. Best of luck to you on your build. Vince

I ordered that from him too, but he forgot to put it in there.
The tranny is a 2000 out of a diesel, I bought it as a good working trans and was just going to put the shift kit and run it, but then I got it home and and drained the rest of the fluid and pulled the pan, the fluid was pretty dark, but there was no metallic flakes or other trash in the pan. Also, it didn't smell burnt at all. I though it would be best to put some new frictions in there. So I'll get a separator plate, and you think I need the rest of the those parts too Vince?
