Yep, he told me he could build it to fit my current flex plate and crank hub, so I said cool Saves me some more money And I've never heard of any one shearing TC bolts that didn't come loose first, lol.

Ya, I was just gona stick with a built 65e, but when it was only 4 months old and I twisted the output shaft, off, I said f-it and decided to just do the 80e and be done with it. I want to play with the truck this summer and do a bunch of bracket racing and with the track an hour away, I want it to be pretty tough since I'll be driving it back and forth.

I ran three bolts with my ART CARR converter with-out issue...

You got all the tools??? You might need a new apply pin, depends on the length....

How can I know now whether or not I will need it? I have to order EVERYTHING, can't get anything local. If there's a chance I might need it, I go ahead and order it.

I have ALL the Kent-Moore tools

Looks like you got some good stuff, I'm looking forward to the build/pics of how it comes along. Curious about the "Edge" converter, sounds like a good company to deal with from what you said in your other thread.

I think he's referring to the low/reverse band pin.

yep... maybe, that is why I had such a hard time finding one. lol I called it the wrong name...

There are 7 different lengths. If you have the full set of kent moore tools, There should be a gauge tool used to determine which apply pin your trans requires....
