Default Gears or Torque Converter

Well I have posted on here before on whether or not to go with 3.73 or 4.10 gears for my 04 ECSB 2WD 5.3 Silverado and everyone was very helpful and the consensus was that 4.10's would be better considering most of my driving is done around town. Well I have just now saved up the funds to do the 4.10's and eaton and now I have read many post where people say a torque converter would be a better option because I would not lose my top end. I am basically looking for whatever would give me the best low end(due to my 3.42's). Also which between regearing and a torque converter would affect the dependability and longevity of my vehicle. Whichever I go with I will be getting a tune from Nelson at the same time.

Proabbaly about the same as far as longevity is oncerned. I would go with a stall if it were me. I love the diff the 3000 stall made in my heavy *** truck. Good decision on nelson he is awesome I love my tune.

What is a reasonable price for the installation of a torque converter?

A converter will be useless with out traction. If you going to but an Eaton in there then gears in virtually no more work.

Same here, gears first. Stall would definitly be useless with an open differential. If I was doing a stall, I'd be sure to do servos and Transgo at the same time.

Yes I agree, gears would be first to do before the stall. With the eaton and 4:10's you would defenitely notice some accelaration.
