auburn is better than a spool for a street vehicle but not my #1 or #2 choice. If you haven't spent the money yet then stop please!

My shop told me the only reason he recommended Auburn is because they were more profitable for him. I told him to put in an Eaton.

The Auburn will be a hell of a lot better than the G80. I have several friends that have had great luck with Auburn in their street/strip cars so I think it's worth a try.

Default gm 8.6 spool

Im thinking about getting a yukon full spool in a gm 8.6 on my silverado ..i have disk brakes.do i really need c clip eliminators?i keep breaking lockers i just want something thats gonna last..since i do offroad alot
Any info helps thanks in advance

You'll probably just start breaking something else once the spool goes in. Off road **** helps cause traction is usually non-existent, but based on your typing it sound like you just need to save up for a simple 9" swap. Just my .02
