Well I spoke with them and they want it back for sure. They want to do a full tear down and inspection and go with all Sonnax parts where possible. Sonnax is supposed to have a new kit that came out in June Brochure & Parts List and Instructions Here.
I may be wrong about the kit if it has been out longer but they said a new pack by Sonnax along with other Sonnax goodies and a replacement of all the friction stuff and what ever is needed will be done.
They say the Transgo stuff seems to work well but is always un-predictable and most of the time requires a come back or pan removal for an adjustment or reconfiguration to be made.
These guys build drag race transmissions I know hold up very well.
They are truly conscientious and would be sick if not allowed to solve my delimma. They are bending over backwards so I'm going in with them one more time.
What we started out with is a 2005 4L60e converted to a 4L65e in every aspect with better sunshell, clutches, bands and the like the market provides as being the best.
What came out was a harsh 1-2 and long shifting 2-3-4. Fixing one reversed the other and it just kept going south from there.
I guess I'm hard headed and a softy but it has been laid down if there is a nother reason to go in THEY will order me a Performabuilt.

I hope they weren't charging all 5x, every time. That'd put ya in poorhouse. Me anyways.

It is nice to hear that your original shop is working with you. If you do go with a Performabuilt trans in the future, consider the Level 3, I have one and couldn't be happier.
On a side note, to have a shop perform a trans swap for you, figure somewhere between $500-700 including fluid.....

glad to see you got it going, but for any others wondering about who to go with, both make great trannies, and have good reputations for a reason. I have a PB lvl2 and it has been great to me. Personally i don't think PB gets enough credit. I had a few questions while installing mine and frank pm'd me and told me to give him a call at 1am in the morning. I know my trans holds up to my abuse and sounds like others are happy with their PB's. Hope your guys have got it figured out this time, sounds like they are more than willing to work with you.

Update, I'm good to go. No Trans-go stuff, all Sonnax valve body parts (Performance Pack ) & configs with both super hold servos. Trans tuned to stock configs as Sonnax intended for the PP to be applied to.
Shifts like a dream! Broke out the Champagne! Quick and firm without being rude at part throttle and great @ WOT. NO MORE HARSH 1-2!
