ok i have an flt lvl 5 4l65e and a pi 3600 stall. i stalled it up and took off an it chirped all four tires and kinda jirked and then felt like i wasnt going any faster so i let off and came to a complete stop and put it in park i started going again and it didnt feel like it shifted i sped up to thirty-five mph at 2000rpm and put it down in third and nothing happened and then into second and it downshifted and then into first and it downshifted (i was slowing down with the brakes while doing this) checked the tcm fuse and it was fine ,.sorry for the novel and thanks in advance

 

Have you emailed or PM'd Vince at FLT?? Since the trans is one of his companies i would definetly do that first thing.

 

How about a little more info. Is this a new tranny and or converter? New tune in the truck? Almost sounds like your converter locked prematurely.

 

Sounds like you set limp mode what happens if you turn the truck off then start back does it go back to normal for a short while and are you getting anY SES light?

 

the tranny was bought from zr1 dreamin and the converter was bought new through tsp also this was na not fi

I helped him install that trans in his truck the first time he got it and rode with him sevral times... it was perfect in his truck, I know he had pretty much all the upgrades, It had just been sitting for a bit... It sounds like you did something to throw it into limp mode... Whats your tune look like?

 

i know the trans was in great shape when i got it. i am just trying to figure out what went wrong. i havent tried driving it today yet. sorry about the punctuation i was a little pissed off when i typed this and trying to include everything that happened

I also think, from what you've stated, you may have engaged limp mode... did you ever end up getting HPT?
