FLT Level7 is finally here!! **PICS**

Yea, that's what it sounded like the first time it went, although I do think that I heard the knock of the tensioner bottoming out as far as it will go. I also have a longer belt than stock as recommended by creederado when swapping to the 145amp alt, IIRC the tensioner positioned the same as the stocker after the swap. Not sure if I should try a new belt, shorter belt, or what just yet...it may end up being "characteristic" lol. The lockup on this thing is like 5th gear with a super billet servo

I don't think I could handle a lockup like that. My lockup currently is pretty firm - Feels harder then my 1-2 shift and its just a junkyard tranny with some random restalled stock converter and a hd2 kit. I can't imagine what the FLT trans feels like with a good converter.

...as it turns out, they only charged me $80.25 to fix the bent ear, install the u-joints, and high speed balance it...sounds fair to me.
(I think it was plugged with DexMud anyway). ...kept rising, and there was nothing I could do but to pull over and get an ice coffee and smoke a half a pack of butts...

You're a funny dude. Now stop being a butt, put em down, tranny is done. Ya, that lockup hit takes gettin used to for sure.

Vince, stop floggin I6 TB's 1-2 WOT!

I would not use one of those in my kids go-cart!
Remember I can see BS from a mile away!
BTW I recently did a build in my wife's Lincoln and she made a stupid comment similar to yours. I asked her if she had AAA! BADDABING OOHH!

Small update...I've only put 95 miles on the truck since the swap, since it's been running rich, and today the temp started rising up. Both of these problems will be fixed shortly. Talked to Justin at BlackBear, and he confirmed my suspicion that the 1999 injector values somehow found their way into my 02 PCM along with my 02 injectors. Sent my backup PCM to him today, so hopefully I'll have it back some time next week. The running hot was also an easy diagnosis, as I now have 2 bad relays in my Nelson fan harness, which I've read is pretty common...great harness, but cheap relays. I've had the harness on there for at least five years though without any problems. I temporarily swapped in some Bosch 20/30 relays that I have until the 30/40 relays that I ordered arrive, and the fans are working fine now. Upon inspection of the relays after I swapped them, the contacts are burnt as well as the terminal on pin 87 of both relays...the plastic around the pin is actually melted on both of the bad relays. I did go almost WOT today from about a 30mph dig today though, and the truck pulled great, even with it running pig rich
I'm going to have to change out some fluids soon too, as it's been sitting a long time. Not going to bother changing the oil until the PCM is reflashed, no need to flood new oil with raw fuel from the rich condition. The coolant is now over 5 years old also, so I'll be doing that soon too, probably after I move to wherever I'm going

Get 150 miles on her before beatings begin. So I've been told. A good friend of yours that has a combo similiar to yours may've hit it a few times tho before that break-in period.
He's been good tho. And thrashin has begun.

I only went about 3/4 throttle once or twice, besides that I've been a good boy. It's been tough to have it done and not drive it...between running rich and the check engine light being on, combined with a now loud exhaust and inspection sticker that is over a year over due (and can't be inspected until the check engine light is off)...it's been killing me not to drive it. Hopefully Justin gets the PCM back to me expeditiously (my five dollar word again lol)
