Wanted to bring this one back up to update on how it's going....been driving the truck on and off for the past year, pretty much full time the past three months, and it looks like it will go back to being my full time DD as we have some different plans for the Blazer...the trans is great, 1-2 shift is firm and positive, and the violent multi-disc lock up clutch hasn't broken any hard parts, so I'm happy

I met up with Justin from BlackBear on Saturday and he did some street tuning and said that everything in my tune looks great. He even commented on the tcc but I mentioned to him that Chris from Circle-D told me to be prepared for it, that it will knock your socks off, so we left the current tcc settings alone in the tune and marked it as "operating as designed"

Shortly after I installed the trans, my G80 broke Been a one wheel peel for about a year now. Gotta save up the dough and get a Detroit TruTrac and some 4.10's front and rear

But that's it, I'm very happy with the operation of the trans and verter, and hope to get a long service life out of them. Be well folks!

Have him adjust the "minimum tcc duty cycle table". I have a triple disc converter from Circle D as well and when I initially put it in, I had my settings for the "minimum" table set to 90 (often recommended) and 100 for the "maximum" table. It would practically knock my fillings out of my teeth!

I adjusted those "minimum" table settings lower (currently settings range from about 20 down low up to 38). I left the "maximum" table at 100. You can still feel the shift but it isn't harsh when cruising around town. Oh, and the lockup at WOT was still NICE
I've had the settings like that for over a year and I just went through the trans for a separate issue and sent the converter back to Chris to be tightened up a little. He said the converter looked great fyi.....

Also, don't use the "stock" tcc table settings if you have much of a stall because it will engage and disengage repeatedly at low loads which obviously isn't good for the converter.

However, if your trans has had the TCC PWM circuit disabled then you're sh*# out of luck.

They have a list of parts on their (FLT) site. I copied that and made adjustments to it.

for the reputation they have, I think their prices are reasonable. I would honestly rather order one and be done with it, but it's just not gonna happen financially right now. If I wasnt in a hurry I'd save up, but I need my truck running and I'd rather not do this again. just saving enough money for the parts alone is gonna take me a bit.

I have probably 12+ solid hours of reasearch plus phone calls + experience of tearing to of these apart. I have the ATSG manuals, some videos and whatnot.

I am planning on building a "level 7" LIKE FLT, but in reality I dont expect it to be up to the same build quality and standards as them. However I do expect it to be plenty for what I am doing.

Thanks for the update Billy To anyone else considering a trans, beware non sponsor pm's claiming to be the same caliber builds because they are not.

Thanks for the info, I'll ask Justin about that. I know that he has made some adjustments, and the settings definitely aren't stock, but I'm not sure what adjustments were made. The converter doesn't lock and unlock like some folks have reported, as I know that Justin made the adjustments to address those issues, as well as turning off a few codes that pop up due to the slipping of the converter. Glad to hear that the converter looks perfect inside...I'm pretty confident about the quality of the parts that are bolted behind my engine right now
