Default Ext. cab guys...2 piece DS question...

anyone had any problems with the two piece driveshaft?
anyone done any upgrades in regards to the driveshaft on an ext. cab?

this comes up due to a couple of rear ds u-joint bolt heads that I noticed recently during my tranny removal...
a wrench or socket wouldn't fit and when I looked to see why, I noticed that one of the two bolt heads on each cap had evidently hit something...
they appeared to have hit something on itself while spinning under load...
this was where the u-joint attaches to the pinion yoke...

I'll see if I can get pics posted...

Mines a one piece aluminum unit, but my trucks an oddball, 2wd ext cab short-short box(the same bed as the crew cab trucks). It doesnt appear much different than a crew cab DS

My 03' ECSB had an Alum 1 piece. Held fine for multiple 120+ runs.
