the tranny is coming out, hopefully I will be able to wiggle it around and lower it enough to slide the shaft out.

The driveshaft is supposed to telescope in and out of the tailhousing of the tranny, buts its frozen in place.

FWIW, I only took off 2. It was just a suggestion. Just tryin to help. It worked for me; no need to be a ... I know how d/s is spoda move. In my case I had no options left. I didn't have a 2pc. d/s setup. Hopefully you'll get the movement somehow.

small update. Brother in law came down with his compressor and helped me get it out. I made a dumb stupid mistake and broke one of the bolt flanges. There was a bracket that I unbolted, and there were bell housing bolts behind it. I though i got all of them but apparently not :banghead:

you can see in the pic the top left ear is busted off. the thing that pisses me off is it didnt take much to break it, i didnt push much to seperate the bellhousing from the block. Im just gonna get another bell housing.

here is where I'm at. the driveshaft was frozen in the trans and now you can see why. I had to beat the crap out of the driveshaft with a mini sledge to get it off. didnt damage anything, it just took some hammering.

I'm still thinking the outputshaft is the only part that is ruined, but we'll see when I get into it.

i have NO money. I just sold that tool box in the pictures for $4500 and every penny is going to pay down debt.

I am going to take the trans apart and find out exaclty what the dilly is and see if I can get away with replacing broken parts only.

if the case is busted or the whole thing ends up being junk, then I will be buying a level5 from FLT AFTER I get some debt settled. I'm so close to being out of debt I'm not buying anything else if I can help it.

I was thinking G80 when I read it. The odds were better. Totally sucks to see it was the shaft. The G80 woulda been a cheaper fix.

the very second I heard it break and heard the crunching, the first thing that went through my head was output shaft. all the symptoms pointed to the G80 but that was soon ruled out. needed an oil change anyway so at least I didnt pull the cover for nothing.

brother in law left the compressor so that will be nice for a bit.
