Default Dropping 07 OBS short crew 4X

I recently picked up an o7 old body style short crew. I pulled the rear blocks out of the back to drop the rear and it helped a bunch. I'm wanting to drop it a bit more Is it just a matter of spindles up front and drop hangers for the rear. After looking at it with just the blocks removed the rear bumpstops are super close. Do I need to get a set for a 2wd or just wack the plate off of the frame and forget about it. My other question revolves around pinion angle will I need to get a set of degree shims for the rear to avoid problems. Or is there a complete turnkey package I can get that does it all. Thanks.

If you want to do it right get 2" mcgaughy's drop spindles for the front and some shackles for the rear.

That will give you a 2/4 from the original stance. 95% of the people don't have to worry about pinion shims with this.

how low are you looking to go?

you could just put on lowering shackles and decrank your torsion bars. that will give you ~2 more inches all around.

my truck for example has this done (also minus the lift blocks):

My setup consists of Belltech lowering keys, lift blocks removed, 2" shackles, and spring clamps...the poor man's drop. If I had the cash and didn't put 16" wheels on in the winter, I probably would have done spindles up front. Maybe some day I'll add spindles and hangers and go even lower

I'm going to start installing everything this weekend. How will the 265/7017 tires clear with the mccaugheys 2-4 drop.

spindles and shackles i hope. Just hangers without sahckles will have your pinion angle screwed from what I gather.

I did the front spindles, ditched the blocks in the rear and did drop shackles.
